Transcript & Key takeaways from the episode:

  • Couple years ago Facebook introduced Dynamic Creative, which helps UA managers automatically deliver the best performing combinations of their creative assets to target audiences.

  • Dynamic creative accepts the basic components of a Facebook ad (image, copies, CTAs, etc) and automatically generates optimized ad combinations based on these components. These ads are then served across placements to explore the performance of each creative element within the given audience.

  • If you have many visual options to test and don’t have enough time one of the solutions might be uploading everything into Dynamic Creative.

  • However, we didn't mention and I want to emphasize that it implements restrictions and lack of testing and control for experienced marketers.

George: Facebook Dynamic Creative Ads. What is your experience and can you share it with the audience?

Juan: Dynamic Creative is the tool from Facebook as you might know. And there is always over there when you are creating your ads. And you actually might ask: what is this? Shall I use it or not? As we know Facebook is going towards automation and machine learning. So this actually allows us to take all ad components such as images, copies and CTAs and create one ad to learn, which one is the best combination towards your goal. So, an amazing tool I would say. I'm actually using it. I really like it because I have all these teams asking me “I want to try this! I want to try that!” and I don’t have enough time. So what I do: I upload everything into Dynamic Creative and let the machine to tell me what works the best.
