George: What is your experience working with App Clips?


Ryan: I'm thinking that App Clips is probably one of the best things to happen to App Marketing for as long as I can remember. So a problem that we have as at marketers is that users or potential users are getting a lot of fatigue around having to enter in their name, enter in their email then get smacked upside the head with the paywall and it go through the onboarding process. And usually by the time they get to the end they're tired when all they really want to do is just use one function of the app.

And App Clip is a good way to introduce users to part of the app. It's also a good way to allow them to use part of the app. The way that users can install the App Clip is through a QR code. So you can put a QR code on flyers, you can have it on websites, basically, any promotional material, tattoo it on your arm, whatever it might be.

But App Clip is not used by a lot of marketers right now. I don’t know why. But I think those that do make take advantage of it are going to be the ones that outmaneuver their competitors.
